Build capacity towards a flexible and resilient system
You live in a state of overwhelm, but you’re running on fumes.
You take deep breaths, you meditate and yet any calm you find is fleeting.
Maybe you live in irritability and react to the smallest slights. You live in a state of overwhelm where even the smallest task feels impossible and loaded with judgment. Or maybe you walk on eggshells, breathe shallow and have difficulty relaxing. You come home and crash from exhaustion that never lets up.
Maybe you struggle with sleep disturbances, digestive issues, chronic fatigue, pain, muscle tension, headaches, or physical symptoms or illnesses without clear medical causes. You try to take care of yourself with breaks, self-care, yoga, vagus nerve exercises and whatever else might help - when and if you can find the time.
It’s time to get to the root and heal because you can’t keep living this way.
What you fear when you are still is what drives your nervous system when you’re not.

When your nervous system is balanced, you…
Nervous System Regulation
Your nervous system serves as your body's primary control center, orchestrating countless functions that keep you alive and thriving. It is made of the central nervous system that includes the brain and spinal cord, and the autonomic nervous system that controls involuntary functions like heart rate, digestion and breathing. The autonomic nervous system regulates your internal state through two key branches:
The Sympathetic Nervous System – Your "fight or flight" response that activates during stress or danger, increasing heart rate, speeding up breathing, releasing stress hormones, and potentially raising blood pressure.
The Parasympathetic Nervous System – Your "rest and digest" or "calm and connect" system that promotes relaxation, slows heart rate, deepens breathing, enhances digestion, helps lower blood pressure, and conserve energy.
For optimal mental and physical health, these systems need to work in harmony. When this balance is disrupted due to chronic stress, trauma, or developmental factors, you may experience nervous system dysregulation.
How it works
When we slow down and listen to our system we learn what resonates with us and will guide us towards our path.
I believe that effective therapy addresses the whole person—mind, body, and the nervous system that connects it all. In addition to the work we do, we’ll look into medical diagnoses and consider adjunct therapies for optimal results. My approach integrates multiple therapeutic modalities specifically designed to work with the nervous system's innate capacity for healing and regulation.
Brainspotting to move past narratives, uncover and change patterns that keep you stuck, and connect with symptoms at a neurobiological level.
Accelerated Resourcing to build resilience and expand capacity, and shift your body state.
Somatic therapies to develop greater awareness of physical symptoms, release trapped survival energy from incomplete trauma responses, and restore your nervous system's natural resilience
Parts work to connect with compassion to understand how different aspects of your personality hinder or serve you, and how those parts relate to your symptoms.
Safe and Sound Protocol to reduce nervous system reactivity, create a foundation for other therapeutic work, enhance capacity for social connection, and increase access to the parasympathetic nervous system.
Change occurs not because you've learned to "control" your nervous system, but because you've developed a collaborative relationship with it—understanding its signals, responding to its needs, and supporting its natural capacity for regulation and healing.
Why I do this work
Stress isn’t just mental - it’s a full body response.
I believe that health begins with balance and taking care of your mind, body and soul. Nervous system regulation is learning. how to listen to your system AND how to nurture its continued well being.
Only when we feel psychologically and physically safe can we move from helplessness to resilience, from anxiety to action, from scattered to centered, from isolated to connected.

While understanding your history can be helpful, the approaches I use often don't require detailed retelling of traumatic events. We focus more on how your nervous system is responding in the present and how to build resources and capacity before addressing difficult material.
-
We’ll factor in how your nervous system responds as part of a comprehensive approach looking at your history, past emotional experiences, and medical history.
