Depression Therapy

ONLINE THERAPY IN FL, UT, AND WA STATE

shift from shut down to possibility

You feel stuck.

YOU CAN’T FIND THE ENERGY, MOTIVATION OR HOPE.

You find yourself saying things like - I can't, it’s hopeless, what’s the point. Even finding the energy to discuss why you can’t feels like too much. You wish you were different, you may even want to do more, but right now escape, avoidance and apathy are your closest friends.

It’s lonely and hard…all the time.  You don’t want to keep living like this but the options seem bleak.

YOU’RE READY FOR A CHANGE.

DEPRESSION THERAPY CAN HELP YOU:

  • Quiet your thoughts and inner critic

  • Develop coping skills

  • Understand the root of your distress

  • Improve your sleep

  • Focus and stay on task

  • Decrease irritability, frustration and apathy

  • Improve your energy

  • Forgive yourself for the regrets of the past.

  • Regulate your emotions

  • Experience life in the present

How it works

DEPRESSION THERAPY WILL HELP YOU TO BE MORE IN TOUCH WITH YOUR NEEDS AND RECOGNIZE THE SOURCE OF THE DISTRESS.

Together we will improve your confidence, self-esteem and awareness of your needs so that you can feel grounded and present.  We’ll explore the root of your depression and the patterns that you can’t break free from.  You’ll learn healthier ways to manage negative emotions, how to empower yourself and ways to reconnect to feelings of worth and love.

Our brain has a hard time differentiating between real and perceived danger.  When we feel overwhelmed, our system retracts and feels stuck, small, and alone.  Maybe you fight back against it initially, but over time we start to shut down.  My therapeutic approach focuses on connecting you with your innate abilities while creating a deeper understanding of your unique depressive patterns.  I integrate multiple therapeutic techniques including:

  • Brainspotting to process depression and trauma at a neurobiological level, work through core beliefs and emotional material that's difficult to verbalize and release stored emotional patterns.

  • Accelerated Resourcing to provide more guidance and strengthen internal resources.

  • Somatic therapies to develop greater awareness of physical symptoms, release stored burdens in your body and regulate your nervous system more effectively.

  • Parts work to recognize and understand how different aspects of your personality hinder or serve you.

  • Safe and Sound Protocol to shift how your nervous system responds, to remind it stillness can be safe, and create a foundation for other therapeutic work.

My goal is to build on your existing strengths while developing new strategies to navigate challenges.  Effective therapy addresses the whole person - mind, body and spirit.  Learn to navigate your internal landscape more effectively based on who you are, without fundamentally changing or forcing yourself into strategies that don't align with your natural tendencies.

How We’ll Work Together

We’ll start with a complimentary 30-minute video consultation.  Taking the first step can be scary and I want you to feel like you’re with the right person to guide you on this journey.  If we decide to work together, we’ll have an in-depth intake session. This will give me an opportunity to learn more about you and your goals, answer any questions you have, and co-create a plan to track your progress throughout our work together.

You choose the format that works best for you:

  • If you prefer to make progress steadily over time, we can meet on a weekly or bi-weekly basis for 50-minute sessions.

  • For accelerated results, concentrated therapy in the form of intensives may be a good fit for you. Like a large dose of therapy at once, you can experience rapid relief and healing with a relatively small time investment. 1- and 2-day options available. Click here to learn more.

Frequently asked questions

  • Research consistently shows that online therapy is as effective as in-person therapy for depression treatment. The key elements—therapeutic relationship, evidence-based approaches, and consistent engagement—translate well to the online format.

  • Signs of progress often include improved sleep, more energy, greater interest in activities, better ability to manage stress, changes in thought patterns, and increased self-compassion. We'll track these changes together to ensure your treatment is effective.
